Fuck me!! Where did these guys come form!
I have never heard of death skulls and ,i would'nt of thought that with them being from essex that they would rip heads off with streetstyle punk rock, Going straight for the jugular and letting rip with fast, tight angry tunes that impressed the hell out of me!
These boys are proud of there roots and tell it like it is , no pretence , I like the honesty they protray, like in the track ! A word in your shell like" the line "So you think your Chalie big spuds, givin' it all that" and another track called "southend council are cunts" gives them the middle finger for messing up thier council tax.
This is refreshing street punk on our doorsteps, I hope to hear more of these in the future.
Wives of seth on the other hand (side) are completely different, they reminde me of devils from Leeds, chaotic with harsh growling vocals, disjointed and urgent being more "core" with a mordern sound.
Fans of Shai Hulud should love this , its a cracking production job, nice accoustic breaks before track 2 with a thunder storm and rain, I'd imagine these fuck shit up live, but not really my cup of tea, but still enjoyable.
On the whole a good 7", certinaly value for money, mine being on The death skulls
